Purpose of Forum

May this forum provide an environment to discuss general issues within the Christian faith.

Eligibility for Posting

Participants of this forum should confess as core Christian doctrine the following —

1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God, free of any error as originally written, the final, ultimate, and only true authority on the Christian faith.

2. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. His earthly life was sinless and his ministry miraculous. He was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. He then ascended to heaven and the right hand of the Father.

4. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. By the death of Christ, and by repentance and faith in his blood, the believer is justified. By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the believer is reborn and regenerated into new humanity.

5. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit enables the believer to live a godly life and to pursue holiness.

6. Both the saved and lost shall be bodily resurrected, either to eternal life or punishment.

Not a Debate Venue

The focus of this forum is discussion, not debate. It is necessary within the Christian community to have disagreement, but in a discussion, there does not have to be victory. It is sufficient that two or more sides of a position are presented, and final conclusions left for viewers as time ensues. In discussion, the point should be discerned quickly, when it is best merely to agree to disagree.

Put the Other Person First

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves,
Philippians 2:3. Let everyone strive to be Christ-like in posting. Always respond to others having regard for what is best for them, with complete respect and consideration.

Focus on the Good in the Christian Community

There are many popular but abusive ministries. It is difficult at times to avoid discussion on their activities and beliefs. However, our primary focus should be on what we can do that is right, with having confidence in the Holy Spirit to deal with Christian leadership that is in error.

No Trolling or Spamming,

Posting with intent to derail and harass conversation, or to promote an agenda subverts the objectives of the forum. At times it is difficult to distinguish between trolling and genuine disagreement. However, as a general rule, administration reserves the right to ban any participant or to remove any post or thread, by discretion and at any time, when it appears the purpose of the forum and its rules and guidelines have been compromised.

Do Not Ask for Money

Requests for financial assistance will not be tolerated in any form. Please be reminded that the Internet is overwhelmed with scams for taking money from the innocent. However, we encourage all Christians to make donations for people in need to organizations with a trained and experienced staff, who properly qualify recipients of aid and how funds will be expended.
